JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Data Entry I position is responsible for logging all requisitions daily and filing completing requisitions.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Validate Job Cost distribution for requisition processing
  • Log all Requisitions
  • File completed requisitions
  • Maintain requisition files in purchasing department and basement
  • File signed purchase order acknowledgements
  • Distribute daily mail
  • Maintain monthly requisition /purchase order logs
  • Maintain monthly Purchasing Agent performance log
  • Assist purchasing manager with locating files when required
  • Maintains office supplies for purchasing department
  • Make all copies when required
  • Complete requisitions in purchase orders system when required
  • Distribute completed and signed purchase orders to appropriate individuals and vendors as required
  • Collaborate with co-workers and management in a team environment
  • Comply with all quality, safety and performance requirements relevant to the position
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. is required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of data entry experience
  • Commitment to excellent customer service, well organized, and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ability to work with a diverse team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines
