Community Outreach: Bay Ltd. Employees Participate in ‘Share-A-Meal’ Program

On November 18, 2014 Bay Ltd. Employees were on hand at the Corpus Christi Ronald McDonald House to roll up their sleeves and help prepare a nutritious meal for residents of the home. Located at 3402 Ft. Worth Street, the Ronald McDonald House serves as a residence for persons who have a child at Driscoll Children’s Hospital. Each Ronald McDonald House comes equipped with a full-facility kitchen that includes stoves, microwaves, deep-well sinks, dishwashers, and an icemaker.
Though Bay Ltd. has supported the charity in the past through donations, sponsorships and holiday items, employees wanted to participate in a more hands-on way through the Share-A-Meal program. Dubbed as “Teamwork with Heart”, the Share-A-Meal Program offers local businesses and organizations the opportunity to work together to prepare a home cooked meal on-site for both residents and the children.
Utilizing the home’s kitchen and some creative culinary skills, Bay employees prepared breakfast for dinner including eggs, bacon, chorizo, waffles, and fruit and the meal received rave reviews from the families commander viagra pfizer. After dinner, Bay staff were treated to a tour of the house and learned about other ways of giving back to the Ronald McDonald House charity such as collecting tabs from soda cans and donating to their clothing boxes that are located throughout Corpus Christi. The event was a huge success and volunteers look forward to working with the Corpus Christi Ronald McDonald House again in the future.
