JOB SUMMARY
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, executing, and controlling/monitoring of the scope of services, budget, schedule, deliverables, and resources required to accomplish the project objectives safely, on time and within budget to the right quality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage the tracking of project records such as material tickets, quantity reporting forms, billing documents, RFI’s, submittals, and production reports
- Understand the baseline and current job schedule, job duration, and contract schedule and manage resources to meet project goals and deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple, related projects and navigate complex activities that span business units and has aligned results with organizational goals
- Manage the daily or weekly job meetings, and status of RFI’s and submittals
- Assist with setting budgets for overhead, billable and non-billable accounts. Monitors and controls budget through completion of work. Monitor and report cash flow, schedule, and budget deviations
- Ensure the commercial and technical requirements of contracts are understood and interfaced with Bay support departments and administrative procedures as well as ensuring that the contractual invoicing procedures are implemented, and monthly client invoices are issued timely. Responsible for monitoring for payment and take corrective action if required
- Approve data involving cost, production, material yields, budgets, pay applications, and change orders
- Communicate with project team including management and superintendents to ensure a smooth project from start to finish, and act as a liaison between project managers and estimators
- Direct all job site activities to maintain compliance with contract specifications, client requirements, and local, state, and federal building codes
- Supervise project employees and sub-contractors to ensure quality and timeliness of construction, and have the ability to communicate, inspect, resolve conflict, and follow client’s and senior management’s direction
- Responsible for being the point of contact on the job for clients, sub-contractors, and other internal customers
- Complete and submit project reports and job status updates as required
- Perform general mathematic calculations and understand basic measurement
- Ensure compliance of all safety procedures and policies while promoting Bay’s safety culture
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required
- 5+ years’ project management experience in construction and repair of API aboveground storage tanks required
- Proficient knowledge in construction industry standards
- Experience with project process workflow and development of project work breakdown structures
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus but not mandatory
- API 653 Certification preferred

- Ability to work under pressure to meet department targets and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
- Ability to quickly learn the organizations systems
- Must be able to work non-routine hours, when necessary
- Must have a valid, unexpired driver’s license
- Ability and willingness to travel as required for out-of-town travel assignments
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Will work in an office and job site setting (indoors/outdoors)
- Must be able to work outdoors, exposed to heat and humidity, cold and rain, and around heavy traffic areas.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
- Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity
- Constantly perform repeating motions that may include feet, leg, wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Frequently communicate with other members of the team. Must be able to exchange accurate information in a clear manner
- Work that includes moving and/or lifting objects up to 50 pounds
