Position of belly dump truck driver is responsible for driving a truck equipped with bottom discharge.

• Drive truck equipped with bottom discharge trailer to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, milled asphalt, broken concrete, grubbing and clearing, or bituminous paving materials or earth.
• Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations
• Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers
• Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Generate and maintain accurate job aid for duties assigned
• Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must have 3 years over the road
• Must pass a DOT physical
• Must have a class A driver’s license
• Must have a good driving record

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written with co-workers, and supervisors.
• Adhere to strict safety standards and procedures
• Must have knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in construction

• Must be able to twist, stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch as required to perform essential functions for extended periods of time.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, carry at least 30 pounds and up to 150 pounds with help.
• Be able to work in extreme weather conditions, hot and cold weather.
