JOB SUMMARY
The position is responsible for supporting the project management team with advanced planning, scheduling, progress measurement, change management implementation and analysis that may involve a major project or several smaller projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Implement Project Planning & Scheduling strategy, plans and procedures, reflecting both Company and contractor roles, responsibilities, and expectations
• Provide interface and quality assurance to Project functional groups and contractors regarding the tracking and reporting of schedule performance
• Conduct the required project schedule analysis, critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis for the project as a whole
• Analyze deviations from the baseline in the Project Master schedule highlighting bottlenecks / delays and propose corrective actions
• Prepare the Integrated Planning / Scheduling contribution to the Monthly Project Report and specific reports / presentations
• Analyze and highlight the overall schedule impact of any variance / change order
• Prepare staffing, engineering and construction progress and customized reports
• Ensure that schedule related data from vendors, suppliers, engineering and construction contractors of actual projects is provided as feedback into the planning and scheduling systems
• Ability to work in multiple discipline projects
• Ensure compliance of all safety procedures and policies while promoting the Company’s safety culture.
• Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
• Develop analytical project management tools for reporting such as Power BI.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• 10+ years of experience in project controls and/or time/schedule management experience
• Expert experience level using project scheduling tools (Primavera, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
• Knowledge of construction activities related to project scope, cost, financial management and scheduling.
• Knowledgeable in all phases of the project management life cycle.

SKILLS / KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Working knowledge of applicable construction codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
  • • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and employees at all levels.
    • Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents such as scopes of work, and project schedule.
    • Exercise discretion and independent judgement when handling day to day information.
    • Must be proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent time-management skills to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities.
    • Ability to work cooperatively across all levels delivering on commitments – results oriented.
    • Strong analytical skills required to understand and interpret data.
    • Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work under pressure to meet department targets and deadlines.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
    • Ability to quickly learn the organizations systems.
    • Must be able to work non-routine hours, when necessary.
    • Must have a valid, unexpired driver’s license.
    • Ability and willingness to travel as required for out-of-town travel assignments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Will work in an office and job site setting (indoors/outdoors).
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
• Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity.
• Constantly perform repeating motions that may include feet, leg, wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Frequently communicate with other members of the team. Must be able to exchange accurate information in a clear manner.
• Work that includes moving and/or lifting objects up to 25 pounds.
