Bay Ltd. Family Day raises $10,000 for CASA of the Coastal Bend
Bay Family Day, hosted by The Bay Volunteers, is an annual event dedicated to our employees and those who support their hard work. The goal of the event is to raise money to donate to our community through the sale of raffle tickets, with this year’s focus being on the needs of our local children. A “Bay Family Day on the Bay” fishing tournament was scheduled for early September. Due to the arrival of hurricane Harvey, the tournament was forcibly canceled. However, where there is a storm, sunshine proceeds.
In lieu, of the tournament, The Bay Volunteers, also known as the “Bay Buddies” hosted a “Bay Family Day Cleanup” in Rockport, Texas, providing residents relief in the wake of Harvey. Through the efforts of our Bay Buddies and their families, we were able to donate $10,000 to CASA of the Coastal Bend. CASA is an organization whose mission is, “To speak up for and find permanent homes for foster children in crisis throughout Nueces, San Patricio, and Aransas counties.” A HUGE thank you to our Bay Buddies and each member of the Bay Family for their generosity, and dedication to making this event a monumental success!
