Fabrication

Bay Ltd. has a 30-year history of successful fabrication services for both upstream and downstream industries. Our fabrication facilities, located throughout North and South America, afford us with the capability to easily fabricate, assemble and transport products anywhere in the world. In addition, our headquarters in Corpus Christi along the Texas Gulf Coast has over 228,000 sq. ft. of covered shop space in four buildings for vessel fabrication, pipe fabrication, light and heavy structural fabrication, modular fabrication, assembly and outfitting.

Our fabrication and assembly shops are supported by dockside assembly and storage areas that allow our operation to assemble modules in a range of sizes for transport, ranging from truck-sized projects to over 5,000 tons of heavy haul. Conveniently located adjacent to the Corpus Christi Ship Channel with waters up to 45 feet deep, our dockside area accommodates intracoastal barges, ocean-going barges, international heavy lift ships and supports loadout via a RO-RO dock, skidway or onto barges or ships via heavy lift cranes.

ASME Pressure Vessels

Our ASME pressure vessel fabrication, modification and maintenance services began operations as a Section VIII Division One pressure vessel shop as Berry Fabricators in 1969. By 1997, our ASME pressure vessel operation achieved a Division Two Certification and now encompasses over 200,000 square feet of shop space.

Modular Process Plants and Pipe Rack Modules

Our modular fabrication facilities span more than 100 acres and offer 200,000 square feet of shop space for the fabrication and assembly of modular pipe rack systems and process units for clients in the oil and natural gas production, chemical manufacturing, and refining industries. Modular systems and packages range from a single skid-mounted unit to complete production packages and process units with load out weights in excess of 5,000 tons.

Piping Systems

Each of Bay’s pipe fabrication shops feature automated plate cutting, pipe profiling, rolling and welding capabilities and onsite QA testing. Our resources include a 48 inch Vernon pipe profiler and a full range of welding capabilities, including MIG/TIG welding capability, forty 200 to 600 amp welding machines, four submerged arc machines, four 5-ton overhead cranes and eight 1 ton jib cranes.
