Bay Ltd. brings Christmas joy to the children of the Wesley Community Center
On the evening of December 19th, Bay Ltd. had the privilege of hosting a holiday party for the women and children of the Wesley Community Center. In the heart of Corpus Christi, the Wesley Community Center provides permanent housing for homeless children and mothers. It also serves as a daycare, accommodating over two hundred children who are homeless, under the care of CPS, or low income in Nueces County each year. The programs at the Wesley Community Center offer a healthy, developmentally appropriate learning experience that nurtures children to build confidence, character, and self-worth.
A group of Bay Ltd. volunteers, known as our “Bay Buddies” served the families a BBQ dinner with all the trimmings. Santa Clause made a special guest appearance, and each child eagerly awaited receiving gifts off of their wish list from Santa himself. It was a special, fun-filled evening for the children and their mothers. Dr. Crissy Hinojosa, director of Business Systems at Bay Ltd, and board member of the Wesley Community Center stated, “We are extremely grateful for the support that Bay Ltd. and their employees provide to Wesley. It allows them to continue their mission of providing a stable and nurturing environment for those in Nueces County that are in most need of assistance.” Here at Bay Ltd, we are thankful for our relationship with the Wesley Community Center, and for the opportunity to serve the Coastal Bend Community this holiday season.
