JOB SUMMARY:

The Sr. Manager of Soft Crafts is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and overseeing activities in their Division in the Louisiana Region while ensuring the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for managing all soft craft functions in the Louisiana Region, including but not limited to: scaffolding and erection, insulation, asbestos and lead abatement, industrial coating, thermal covers, painting, fireproofing heat tracing, specialty welding, material sales and distribution
  • Oversee cost analysis for development projects and preparation of schedule of project completion dates and ensure that divisional projects are completed within budget, on time, and meet client/job specifications as per job requirements
  • Communicate at all levels of the division to meet corporate and division goals
  • Review and approve divisional contracts, staffing needs, and actively assist with client/contract negotiations
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, new technologies, and market conditions relevant to the division and industry; Prepares divisional budget; monitors and approves expenses
  • Actively participate and lead in Intra-Company Meetings including Safety Leadership, Bid Review, Beyond Zero Management Meeting and actively participate in Company community volunteer initiatives
  • Execute as part of a Team to drive Company success and actively participates in industry, client and community relations
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the soft craft skills being managed including code-certified specialty services for industrial maintenance and construction projects
  • Extensive skills managing large soft skill projects for capital, maintenance, and turnaround endeavors
  • Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in job related duties
  • Knowledge and experience in Heavy Industrial Construction Industry
  • Experience with contract and vendor negotiations, including review and editing of contracts
  • Ability to conceptualize long-term business goals and develop orderly processes to accomplish them
  • Excellent time-management skills, self-motivated, organized, and attentive to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written with customers and employees at all levels
  • Ability and Willingness to Travel as required
