Mrs. Laura Berry was honored as the 2022 Buc Days Rodeo Commodore and participated in the parade. As an avid supporter of Buc Days and the Pro Rodeo, Bay Ltd. is proud of its 69 year heritage in Corpus Christi.
Laura Berry is passionate about providing assistance to our military veterans and has contributed countless hours raising funds for providing homes and research for our veterans through charities such as Wounded Warriors, Military Warriors Support Foundation, and Special Forces Charitable Trust.
Laura Berry and Bay Ltd. partner with many organizations throughout the Coastal Bend and Texas, including various county livestock shows throughout Texas, the Corpus Christi Police Foundation, American Heart Association, Halo Flight, ALS, Shriner Circus, Boy Scouts of America, United Way of the Coastal Bend, Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi and Kingsville, Del Mar College, Texas State Aquarium, Dismas Charities, Valero Benefit for Children, Young Life, Metro Ministries, the Salvation Army, Food Bank of CC, Wesley Community Center, Purple Door, Ronald McDonald House, Coastal Bend Blood Bank, March of Dimes, Flags For Heroes, Toys for Tots, Annual CC-Pal Dove Hunt & Skeet Shoot, Kanines and Kitties, Corpus Christi Hooks, and Corpus Christi Ice Ray’s.
Laura has also served in numerous organizations, including the Arts Commission for the City of Corpus Christi, Beautify Corpus Christi Association, the Tuloso Midway Independent School District Board, Program Development Board of Nueces County, Chairman for Wildlife, Pasture and Cattle Committee for Nueces County, Agricultural Development Board for Texas A&M College Station, the Natural Resources Foundation of Texas Board in Austin, the advisory board of Texas Tech University, Lubbock for the Department of Range, Wildlife and Fisheries, member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and the Texas Safari Club.
Laura Berry is also an avid sportswoman, hunter and an excellent all-around sporting clays, skeet and trap shooter. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, singing Karaoke, shooting sports and helping others. She is a mother to 4, grandmother to 13, and a great grandmother to 17, so it is only fitting this Mother’s Day that we celebrate not just a terrific mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; but a true matron of our beautiful city.
